Once again, The Highlands in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and Life Care Center of Leominster, Massachusetts, participated in the city of Fitchburg’s 4th of July parade.

Thousands of people lined Main Street as 24 floats paraded down in various themes. The main theme this year was Popular American Landmarks.

“We found Disney World listed on the list of American landmarks and thought, this is the one,” said MaryAnn Melanson, director of marketing for both centers. “Mr. Disney believed in hometown values, and so do both facilities. The float and costumes were a lot of fun to make. It is nice to see both buildings continue this tradition"

Stephanie Phillips, case manager at Life Care Center of Leominster, shared, “It’s always a lot of fun to see the crowd and hear them yell your company name. Not to mention they love the freeze pops we hand out too.”

“My daughters enjoy this parade every year,” said John Richard, physical therapist assistant.

William Reidt, executive director at the Leominster location, added, “Wow, it’s the 4th of July, and you have this great team promoting your facilities – it’s truly amazing.”

“It’s uplifting to see two facilities work together for one goal,” said The Highlands’ ED, Carlos Bonilla.
